PRIVATE EVENTS
Looking for a creative space to host an event? Book out our studio for a private party or corporate team building! Claymates offers opportunities for creative expression between friends, family, and co-workers.
Your group can choose either wheel throwing, hand building, or painting on pottery made by our studio staff.
Skill Level
For beginners unless otherwise requested.
Age
10+ years of age recommended.

ABOUT OUR PRIVATE EVENTS

Your group can choose either wheel throwing, hand building, or painting on mugs made by our studio staff.
Private events are 2.5 hours long, including cleanup.
All private events include one fired piece per person, which will be glazed in a colour of your choice and can be picked up 6 weeks after your event.
We can accommodate up to 8 people for wheel throwing, and up to 12 people for hand building or mug painting.
If you choose hand building, your team will all build the same project together. Common projects include mugs, vases, tumblers, sculpted animals, paint palettes, and ashtrays.
If you choose mug painting, we may require extra lead time as we hand make the mugs at our studio.

Although your hands will be very busy, participants are welcome to BYOB in cans. We prefer no more than two drinks per person for safety reasons and everyone’s enjoyment.
Please make sure any beverages do not go down our clay sink, they can be disposed of in the washroom.
We prefer if snacks or cake are taken elsewhere to celebrate — a pottery studio isn’t the best environment for food, and your workshop will take up all of the allotted time.

1-4 People: $540
5 People: $625
6 People: $690
7 People: $735
8 People: $760
We can accommodate a maximum of 8 people for wheel throwing.
Hand building or mug painting only:
9 People: $810
10 People: $850
11 People: $880
12 People: $900
13+ People: Must book 2 parties
We can only accommodate groups larger than 12 if divided into upstairs/downstairs or earlier/later.
Payment is required upfront when booking a private event.
