Want a home away from home to take your pottery practice to the next level? We exist to create a fun and friendly space for like-minded clay lovers to improve their craft with the freedom to practice at their own pace.

IS A MEMBERSHIP RIGHT
FOR YOU?
Memberships are designed for folks who already have pottery experience and can operate independently in the studio. Members should be confident in all parts of the pottery-making process. Usually, 12-16 weeks of beginner classes within the last 2 years is sufficient, along with a good understanding of how to use dip glazes.
If a person's experience is not sufficient, they may not be contacted for membership. If a person begins a membership but demonstrates their experience is not sufficient, they may be asked to end the membership. If you’re not sure about your level of experience, please email us.
Memberships at Claymates are designed for hobbyist ceramic artists, not production potters. We have a firing limit of one bag of clay per month. If you anticipate regularly using more clay than this, we recommend finding a studio that can fire a larger volume of work.
WHAT DO OUR MEMBERSHIPS INCLUDE?
Both our memberships include the following:
8 studio visits per month, up to 4 hours per visit
Use of all studio equipment and tools
Use of all handcrafted glazes, underglazes and slips
Storage of your clay & works in progress
Regular firing of your work

CLASSIC MEMBERSHIP
$185.00 +GST
Drop in anytime during our open hours, up to 8 visits per month.
Drop-in hours:
Monday - Thursday: 10am - 10pm
Friday - Sunday: 10am - 6pm
Minimum 3 month commitment and one month’s notice via email to cancel after the first 3 months.
Every month
LITE MEMBERSHIP
$160.00 +GST
Drop in weekday mornings and afternoons only, up to 8 visits per month.
Drop-in hours available:
Monday - Friday: 10am - 6pm
Evenings and weekends are not included.
Minimum 3 month commitment and one month’s notice via email to cancel after the first 3 months.

We are currently at capacity for memberships. Put your name on our list, and we’ll get to you as soon as we can!
HOW DOES THE WAITLIST WORK?
Submit the form above, and you will be added to the waitlist. As space becomes available, we will email folks on the list. Please be aware that membership wait times vary significantly, and we are not able to provide accurate wait time estimates.
When you receive an invitation email, you have 48 hours let us know if you’re interested and provide payment information. Memberships are active within one week of invitation. We cannot delay a membership’s start beyond one week. If you’re not ready to join when you receive the invitation, you can add yourself to the waitlist again.
